Sau. Mathurabai Bhausaheb Thorat Sevabhavi Trust, the parent body of S.M.B.T. Dhamangaon Educational Campus was established in 1984 by the visionary Late Shri Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat with the objective of bringing about educational and economic growth in rural & tribal areas. The Trust is now under the guidance of Hon'ble Balasaheb B. Thorat, Cabinet Minister of Revenue, Government of Maharashtra MLA, Hon'ble Dr. Sudhir B. Tambe, Government of Maharashtra, MLC and Dr. Harshal S. Tambe, Managing Trustee. Under their leadership the Trust has made great progress within a short span of 34 years. The Trust strives to impart quality education to the students. The Trust provides education from KG to PG & Doctorate level.

Sau Mathurabai Bhausaheb Thorat Sevabhavi Trust's S.M.B.T. Pharmacy, Nandi Hills, Dhamangaon, Tal. Igatpuri, Dist. Nashik was established in the year 2005-2006 with the mission to contribute to quality education to the rural & needy students. Presently we are conducting D.Pharm, B.Pharm & M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics , Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmacognosy) and Ph.D.Program. The College is approved by PCI and DTE and is affiliated to MSBTE , Savitribai Phule Pune University and Maharashtra State Government. In 2018, our B. Pharmacy program accredited by the National Board of Accreditation(NBA),New Delhi, India up to 2025. In 2024 college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 2.88 at B++ Grade valid upto 2029. The college motivates students for Research and encourages students to participate in various curricular and co-curricular activities.
